Alice Freeman of Wind and Roses LLC is one of our music teachers. Alice arranged many of the pieces played on the girl’s first album including the lovely duet arrangements! If you are looking for a harpist or dulcimer player for an event anywhere near Alice, her music will provide the backdrop for priceless memories.
Compassion for Congo is the Christian ministry supporting Pastor Didier and his orphanage in Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The care given by this little orphanage, and the familial atmosphere and individualized love and attention given by Pastor Didier and his family is amazing. A portion of each album donation here at Harps & Hammers goes to Compassion for Congo for the orphanage, or you may donate to them directly. (Address and other information provided on the website.)
Heather Young painted the custom watercolor of the infant on our album cover. More of her beautiful and original artwork can be seen at http://elasah.com. (The dragon paintings are my favorites!) Heather also illustrated the new game Sherwood Showdown (which is on my list to buy for Christmas!)
PrairieFrog Blog chronicles our homeschooling and daily life. Feel free to hop over to visit with us there or learn more about us.
Sylvia Woods of the Harp Center arranged many of the harp pieces Kaira plays on Bringing Her Home. Her wide range of harp books are well written, playable and adaptable for many levels. If you have an interest in harp, browsing online at The Harp Center is a great treat!
